The Small Space Somewhere Between Love & Hate

truth, Friedrich Nietzsche, Karl Marx, Noam Chomsky, skeptic

Who are you?

Are you an empty vessel that “they” must define and fill?

The surest way to corrupt a youth is to instruct him to hold in higher esteem those who think alike than those who think differently.   Friedrich Nietzsche

You know, you are only as “good” as society says you are, right?

Best to work as hard as possible or else– what good are you?   More importantly, how are you ever going to afford all the luxury gizmos, unless you work and then work harder?

Besides, you know, as “they” told you– the key to pure pleasure lies within the possession of beautiful gadgetry, it defines you as an individual worthy of respect, does it not?

Hello

“What is your name?”

Haha.  That is just a set-up for the real question.

“Joe, huh?   That’s cool.  So, what do you DO for a living, uh, Joe?”

Now, your answer determines if I shall bother to care to remember your name, pal.  Tick tock.

Wow, Joe. Nice answer.   Wonder if Joe has a nice car?  Oooh, he has got latest in technology, that looks like the new I-Whatever Swiss Army Knife Dildo Phone 12 Limited Edition– available everywhere– most fantastic.

Now, that I have determined your potential, well, an assumption of your future earning potential that is.  Nice to meet you, Joe.

“It’s ridiculous to talk about freedom in a society dominated by huge corporations. What kind of freedom is there inside a corporation? They’re totalitarian institutions – you take orders from above and maybe give them to people below you. There’s about as much freedom as under Stalinism.”  Noam Chomsky

The Living Dream of a Long-dead Man

Damn near every concept that stands today,  is mere sustainment that has been generationally handed down, one to the next, soon enough it becomes status quo.  But all generations are uniquely special, so each conveniently modifies the acceptable standards, procedures, and customs under the guise of public “good” and to distinguish modern-humanity from the savages of yore.

The truth is, the whole scheme of towns, community, “normal” business hours, waking up at a “reasonable” time of the day– are all inherited mythology.   After all, the madness of the beast that lives within each person must be tamed into submission, brainwashed into conformity.   Otherwise, the aristocracy would tumble into a free-for-all nihilistic dream of biblical proportions but without the bible.

Who has time to discover the complicated biology behind the being?   There must be only two sexes, ’cause– there are only two types of bathrooms, dumbass.   Science?  Who needs science to understand such simplicity.  Besides, f*ck science that sh*t is too hard to learn anyway.

Don’t smack your peter, Peter– that’s dirty, wrong, and your sloppy self-slapping makes Jesus weep.   Why?   Because, science is too hard to learn, dumbass– that’s why.   Don’t ask questions of your elders, just accept whatever preposterous doctrine they present to you– their accumulated daftness is superior to the yet filled brain.

After all, they have been a part of the group much longer, and they know how the group thinks.   If you wish to find yourself different, an outcast, then keep running that mouth and asking awkward questions, dumbass.

To the unbeliever, the skeptic,  where exactly have your exploits led you?

Have you traveled?  If so, where?  Was it different than the long-lived civilization known “home.”

Well?

Day after day, year after year, the masses of humanity buy into the idea of “this way” is the only and acceptable system.   Does it make anyone happy?

If so, who?  You?

It sure as shit ain’t me, that’s for sure.

The Truth

No matter how adequate the words, how persuasive the argument, or how honest a case may be thoughtfully presented– it shall never be the widely accepted “truth.”   Even in truth, there remain deceitful lies.

Thus, this writing will not likely change any opinion of a mind that is already firmly entrenched within its granted and accepted reality.

Ok, so does it really even matter?

No, it does not matter, but how about at least trying to open your eyes to the surrounding world.   Perhaps, an open mind will lead to a greater understanding and help release the shackles of pre-defined, pre-determined chains of inherited acceptance.

“Men make their own history, but they do not make it as they please; they do not make it under self-selected circumstances, but under circumstances existing already, given and transmitted from the past. The tradition of all dead generations weighs like a nightmare on the brains of the living. And just as they seem to be occupied with revolutionizing themselves and things, creating something that did not exist before, precisely in such epochs of revolutionary crisis they anxiously conjure up the spirits of the past to their service, borrowing from them names, battle slogans, and costumes in order to present this new scene in world history in time-honored disguise and borrowed language.” — Karl Marx

The Moral of This Tale

Take time to recognize appreciate the internal intellectual animal within.

truth, Friedrich Nietzsche, Karl Marx, Noam Chomsky, skepticWhether that means to read a classic book, or to punch a hobo, or to bang a hooker– or maybe ya’ bang the hobo and punch the hooker– whatever works for ya, I suppose.  Yet, understand in such a civilized modern society, all the pitched suggestions have consequences, so choose prudently.

To find your sweet spot, the meaning of your life, your perfect, or perfect kinda f*cked up–it’s a fine line that can be discovered within a struggle within– the small space somewhere between love and hate.
